The Yamaha Music Foundation was established in 1966 with an aim to promote music education as a means of contributing to the public well-being.

As the nucleus for the worldwide network of Yamaha Music Schools, the Foundation develops music courses, publishes teaching materials, train teachers and administers the Yamaha Grade Examination System. The Foundation also organizes international music festivals and concerts.
